Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus – Rothaus Eiszäpfle (5.6%)

£3.50

Rothaus’ Eiszäpfle is beautiful, lightly-hopped and subtly-malted German Märzen beer from the Black Forest. Traditionally a beer that was left to mature at -2 degrees in the last of the winter’s snow, this lager has great depth and a beautiful golden hue. Rothaus originated as brewery founded by the abbot of a monastery,  with aim of bringing further prosperity to the region. It was successful, and when the monastery was abolished, the brewery became state-owned, donating millions to the state every single year, but still with that same great taste.
